Dave has a strong sense of empathy and uses it to help people struggling with anxiety, depression, spiritual issues, poor self-esteem, issues of past sexual abuse and helping couples work through various marital difficulties. He also works with adolescents and their families. Dave has an excellent understanding of scripture and Biblical concepts and how they can be applied in counseling. As Dave often sees in counseling, that people get stuck in their emotional pain. And when you begin to see yourself through God's eyes is when healing can begin.
Ralph Brown, M.Ed, LPC, NCC
Psychotherapist
Ralph is a staff therapist at Grace Counseling. He received his graduate degree from William Paterson University with a Masters in Professional Counseling as well as School Counseling. His undergraduate work was at Nyack College where he studied Pastoral Ministry and Psychology. Prior to Grace Counseling, Ralph was a Clinician at a Mental Health Agency for five years, where he worked with and came along side people struggling with depression, anxiety, the effects of trauma, grief and loss, low self-worth/esteem, and interpersonal difficulties. Ralph believes that true and lasting change and healing takes place in a safe, non-judgmental, accepting setting where God’s Grace and promises to heal are essential in moving people from brokenness to wholeness. “God’s plan isn’t just to forgive you, but to restore you,” ‘…just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life (Romans 6:4). “Now that’s good news!”
